Killer Bug

This series focuses on hand-painted and drawn studies of fly-fishing patterns, each treated as both a functional design and a small portrait. While the flies themselves vary in color, structure, and style, the intent remains the same: to slow down and honor objects that are usually seen only in motion or utility.

By isolating each fly against a simple background, the work invites attention to line, texture, and form — the careful construction that makes these patterns effective in the water. The marks are loose and expressive, reflecting the imperfect, human nature of fly tying and fishing itself.
